Hello, I am Rafał

For the last thirteen years I have worked on Active Directory and Entra ID: identity, tiering, privileged access, and the unglamorous work of keeping a large directory safe and boring. That is the day job, and I like it.

Evenings are for microcontrollers. It started with an Arduino, picked up WiFi with an ESP-01, and settled on the ESP32. Some of it ends up as a small screen on a desk, some of it as a lamp you switch on by touching the base, or a doorbell that plays the wrong sound on purpose.

Whatever it is, it usually comes with firmware in C++, a browser flasher so nobody has to install a toolchain to use it, and a case off my own printer. All of it is open source, and the enclosures are on MakerWorld. If you build one, tell me what broke.

Day job

Active Directory, Entra ID, Kerberos authentication policies, tier isolation, PowerShell.

Bench

ESP32-S3 and C3, LovyanGFX, MQTT, Web Serial and Web Bluetooth, a Bambu P1S and an H2C.

Homelab

A Proxmox cluster, a small AD forest kept around to break on purpose, and Home Assistant running the house.
